With our wanderlust at an all-time high, we’re reminiscing about our visit to Hawaii...

In February, we booked a quick getaway to Oahu in search of some inspiration and stayed with our extended Alchemy family- Jenn, our incredible graphic designer + web designer + photographer, her talented videographer husband, Parker and their adorable little ones to create something fresh for our Alchemy world.

We packed up our essentials (skincare, makeup + bikinis) and took off on a Saturday morning. By early evening we were in a tropical paradise. The humidity and warm breeze were a welcoming escape from the cold Colorado snow we left behind – not to mention the breathtaking  and dreamy views Kailua has to offer. 

Sunday morning we fueled up with cold brew and set out for a day of creating + collaborating. Our inspiration led us to the beautiful Lanikai beach just a few blocks away where roles were reversed. Bre got behind the camera to capture some gorgeous shots of Jenn in some of the stunning jewels we carry at Alchemy.

We were up early Monday to get a jump start on our next shoot. Our talent for the day was Tara, an Alchemy client from Boulder who had recently moved to Hawaii to work for the Supreme Court. (Yes, she is as beautiful as she is brilliant!) Having someone from our hometown model for us on a destination shoot was a full circle moment for us! We were grateful to have her lend us her beauty for our morning skin care ritual shoot before moving things to the pool to capture our water-resistant natural makeup in full effect.

The afternoon was spent with Zoe, a local model that we were fortunate to have join us. We were excited to have her for our editorial-style makeup shoot. She made everything look so effortless and the photos that came out of our time with her are absolutely stunning (which is no surprise when you have a model that could be mistaken for Hailey Baldwin and the most beautiful backdrop we’ve ever seen!).

By evening, it was a wrap! We celebrated a successful collaboration with our people over ocean front margaritas. We are so fortunate to have a team that is willing to work with us and has the ability to bring our vision to life.
