If you're planning a beach getaway be sure to pack some skin loving goodies! The warm sun has wonderful advantages but there is no doubt that exposure to the sunlight should be done in moderation as well as taking the necessary measures to care for your skin and to also look your best!
Besides the obvious skin products to bring- cleanse, tone and moisturize- I would suggest a few must-haves for your fun in the sun:
1. SUNSCREEN SUNSCREEN SUNSCREEN
Apart from your usual beach body sunscreen I would recommend our favorite tint from a line called Suntegrity. This all in one, "UV Chemical-Free" Tinted Sunscreen/Beauty Benefit (BB) cream that treats, hydrates, protects, primes and covers the skin. Supercharged with youth promoting antioxidants that help to scavenge surface free radicals, this cream also provides mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 30 protection. Hyaluronic acid, astaxanthin, red algae and Certified Organic. We sell this shade in 3 beautiful colors and can help you decide what one is right for you! $45
Helping your skin regain its normal moisture is essential when spending time in the sun. The damaging rays create high possibilities of drying out the skin causing, fine lines, wrinkles as well as causing extreme peeling. We love Native Nectars Botanical Body Oil. This beautiful, soothing oil moisturizes skin while botanical extracts deeply nourish, leaving skin silky smooth. Easily absorbed, this oil is perfect for head-to-toe daily use. The subtle aroma of rose, neroli and sandalwood essential oils uplift and calm the mind while enhancing skin texture. Made without parabens, silicones, synthetic fragrances, or animal testing! $35
3. NATURAL INSECT REPELLENT
Herbs are great at repelling insects. Harness the power of these plants with Bug-Off Balm by Dynamic Roots! With Catnip, Lemongrass and Eucalyptus this balm will discourage those little buggers from snacking on you! This incredible balm is made right here in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. $10
4. ALCHEMY MINERAL BRONZERS
Each bronzer shade provides you with a sun-kissed look without the harmful side effects of the sun’s rays. Dust the bronzers on the face and neck for a natural tan. For a extra beauty tip: Add a bit of the bronzer to the eyelid for a beautiful shadow! $45
5. EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Lash extensions are created to mimic your natural lashes but creating a fuller, longer look. They are attached to each one of your individual lashes by either a synthetic hair, silk or genuine mink lash. These flashy flutters should be on the top of your "to do" list before any vacation! The lashes stay on for a full 3 weeks and do not break down in the salt water. You can get any type of look from glam to all natural for your getaway. One of our Alchemist lash techs will help you decide what lash look is perfect for you! Book HERE or call/text our store at 303-817-1430.$ Pricing varies upon lash requests.

Ever since Emma Watson came onto the scene as Hermione Granger, she has always presented herself as naturally beautiful and impeccably polished movie star. But recently, the actress has been working on another role: feminist and ambassador to the UN's gender equality He for She campaign. She has spent the last six months inspiring others through her speeches and activism to stand up for gender equality and create a unified movement of both men and women.
After Emma kicked some serious butt on International Women's Day this past Sunday, it was official, Emma Watson is our girl crush!
She stands for everything that Alchemy Minerals does: female empowerment and girl power, doing what we love, and feeling beautiful in our own skin!
In honor of Ms. Watson, we have complied our favorite looks of hers and how to achieve them!
Emma rules at respecting the natural, bold brow look! She has always kept hers full and strong. The focus of this look is her bold brow, so we recommend using a dark brow powder (we like our Glenwood powder) to fill yours in and define your arch. The rest of Emma's look is very nude and natural: Our mineral foundation will create an even, flawless complexion. Swipe a peachy blush over the apples of your cheeks, some black mascara, and peachy-nude lipstick over your lips!
Sweep your hair back for a look that's perfect for work, a family party, or drinks with friends!
If you're feeling bold, elevate the same look from above, with a swipe of candy-colored lipstick! We love the almost subtle effect the fuchsia lipstick has on her skin tone, but we recommend finding the best shade for your skin. Balance is key with a bold lip and brow!
We love how much Emma has been embracing the berry lip for red carpet events! It's a glamourous, feminine touch to her usual natural looks, without being too predictable. She never choses a shade that is too dark, but it's always bold enough to make a statement. Our fall shade "Show Stopper" can help you master the berry pout.
The last look is one of our all time favorite red carpet looks! She goes for a classic look: her signature brow, soft smokey eye, an eye catching lip (in burnt orange none the less!). To keep this look from being too predictable-red carpet she completed her style with a very modern, very chic slicked back hairstyle. Talk about the best of both worlds!
You can book an appointment with any of our artists for these looks for your next event at: firstname.lastname@example.org
And if you feel like you still haven't gotten enough of the beautiful Emma Watson check out 37 more times she rocked the red carpet.
